When at last I realized my own shortcomings and yielded my mind, body and spirit to God I discovered truth. Despite the fact that it made little sense from a logical perspective, there is an innate truth to faith such that it rings true.
Paul spoke to this situation in;
1 Corinthians 2:5 (NIV)
5 so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.
The fact of the matter is that my faith is not based on an intellectual knowledge or my ability to make a good decision. It is based entirely on my perception and understanding of God's power. By the fact of creation, I see He is powerful. He has demonstrated to me, through my own transformation, that He is powerful. An innate quality of God when viewed from any angle or perspective is that he is omnipotent, omniscient and omniprescent. Though it flies in the face of 'conventional' or 'worldly wisdom' it is nevertheless true.
There are two verses that spring to mind that help to confirm this. First is;
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.a
a Or will direct your paths
And;
1 Corinthians 1:25 (NIV)
25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.

I'm not really inclined to add anything to this discussion for God's word stands alone. Faith is the natural response to the reality of God's power.
Good day,

Carl, ... It has become my habit of late to have my devotional time with God, reading and meditating and journaling ... and then posting my journal entry in a blog as you do. Then, more recently, I've been coming over and reading your blog entry for the day before (since you haven't usually posted before my early bird posting - ;>).
In doing so today (with your entry from yesterday), I see that God's Spirit has once again dove-tailed our minds without our human collaboration.
Yesterday, in this last entry of 12/19, you were writing about how wondrous is God's mind (i.e., His wisdom) as opposed to man's finite wisdom. And in my entry for this morning [12/20] I was reflecting and meditating on how we reference God by NAME, often trying to humanize Our LORD by naming Him in such a way to be closer to Him.
Both of our points seem to be in lock step with the phrase, "God is God and we are not!" I see both of us trying to internalize just how holy, strong, and wondrous is our Lord, God. And may this always be our quest as we live our lives in living sacrifice to our J@hovah God ... our LORD, Jesus ... Who deserves all the fear and reverence we can bring to our worship of Him.
Thanks for your good words in this regard yesterday ... <'BB><
